02 // DIRECTIONDirectionROUTE GUIDANCE
Ruby is a loose seabed resource and a large-deposit resource, not a Galena or Calaverite outcrop result. Use the red spikes on the white rock to distinguish it from nearby pale minerals.
03 // EXACT ANSWERExact answerFULL SPOILER
For a normal progression route, check the seabed in Deep Lilypads Cave or the Crystal Caves once your Seatruck depth allows it. Koppa Mining Site is the official large-deposit target when you need several Ruby for advanced upgrades.
COMMON REASONS YOU ARE STUCK
- Using original Subnautica Ruby locations
- Searching only the Twisty Bridges
- Looking inside outcrops instead of on the seabed
- Confusing Ruby with Kyanite or other pale deep-water minerals
- Entering Koppa Mining Site without a safe return plan
