Can't Find Batteries in Subnautica

Batteries are crafted electronics that power early tools. If a Seaglide or Scanner is empty, the fastest fix is two Acid Mushrooms plus one Copper Ore at the Fabricator, not a Battery Charger hunt.

ANSWER LOCK // QUICK RESPONSE

Craft one Battery at the Fabricator with two Acid Mushrooms and one Copper Ore. The Battery Charger is optional later; it is not required to make the first battery or power early tools.

Gather Acid Mushrooms around the starting pod and Copper Ore from Limestone Outcrops. The finished Battery is made in the Fabricator's Electronics tab and can then power tools or a Power Cell recipe.

ACCESS LOCKED // OPEN TO REVEAL

Pick two Acid Mushrooms near Lifepod 5, break Limestone Outcrops for one Copper Ore, and craft one Battery at the Fabricator. Use it in a Scanner, Seaglide, Flashlight, or other battery-powered tool before worrying about charging infrastructure.

COMMON REASONS YOU ARE STUCK

  • Searching for a loose Battery on the seabed
  • Using Deep Shrooms instead of Acid Mushrooms
  • Trying to craft it with raw Copper and no Acid Mushrooms
  • Waiting for the Battery Charger blueprint first
  • Confusing a Battery with a Power Cell
